Meet Jake Davis, Company Director

Jake is a licenced residential builder, qualified in carpentry and joinery with a passion for sustainable building practices. He believes that looking after our natural environment and building for our future should go hand in hand with the design and construction of our homes. This belief underpins everything that JCD Building do.

A highly experienced builder that thrives on projects with challenging access, acreages or off-grid builds, Jake is skilled with high end architectural design that requires exceptional attention to detail and a fine aesthetic sensibility. Whether it’s a new build or a large renovation or extension, Jake takes it personally. Every build is a personal journey taken together with his client and he loves every minute of it.

Jake is proud of the team he’s built around him, using the same tradespeople for every project – it’s just like a family, and once you’ve hired Jake and his team, you’re a member of the family too! Jake invests the time to learn about how you like to live, what you dream of when you think about your forever home and what your priorities are. That’s one of the reasons, that his clientele are so effusive about the results. Their new homes feel like home as soon as they walk in the door.

I was more than happy with every stage of the process for our renovation – from the day Jake turned up on time to discuss providing a quote, to the day we got the occupancy certificate. Jake always acted in our best interest. If an issue arose it was presented to us with options, costs and effort already calculated which made decisions quite easy. I found Jake to be very honest and professional which made me very comfortable throughout the entire renovation. Jake organised absolutely everything and did an excellent job with the sequencing of the arrival of materials and trades, keeping the project on track and running to schedule. I was always kept well informed of where things were up to, any issues and itemised billing of hours and materials. I was indecisive at times of which direction to go with certain things and Jake’s advice was extremely valuable on many occasions. I was also impressed with how tidy the place was left at the end of each day (even through the demolition stage). I am very happy with the finished product and it is all due to Jake’s skill and passion for his work and great eye for detail. Jake will be the first person I call when I need work done in the future and would strongly recommend him to anyone.

I engaged Jake and his Company a few years before the build, and from our first meeting Jake showed us confidents and enthusiasm. As with any build or Reno you get quotes from a few builders and this is where you see the real character and gather all your opinions. This is where JCD I believe sold us, from the though quotation, which was laid out perfectly and with costing against so you can see where your money is going. From the initial start to the complete end of our Project Jake was there to answer any questions and foresee any potential holdups or Problems. All trades were clean and tidy and worked in a jovial and professional manner. Budget blow out was never a concern as Jake kept us in line with constant updates on cost. Home was completed on time and on Budget.
JCD has delivered us a beautiful home which far outweighed my expectations, I would have no problems in Recommending Jake for any type of build, extension, Knockdown rebuild and would be more than happy to give any further reference if required. I believe Jake has set himself a standard very high in this industry and will build some beautiful homes in the years ahead.
